Your result for The Personality Defect Test...

Robot

You are 57% Rational, 0% Extroverted, 14% Brutal, and 14% Arrogant.

You are the Robot! You are characterized by your rationality. In fact, this is really ALL you are characterized by. Like a cold, heartless machine, you are so logical and unemotional that you scarcely seem human. For instance, you are very humble and don't bother thinking of your own interests, you are very gentle and lack emotion, and you are also very introverted and introspective. You may have noticed that these traits are just as applicable to your laptop as they are to a human being. You are not like the robots they show in the movies. Movie robots are make-believe, because they always get all personable and likeable after being struck by lightning, or they are cold, cruel killing machines. In all reality, though, you are much more boring than all that. Real robots just sit there, doing their stupid jobs, and doing little else. If you get struck by lightning, you won't develop a winning personality and heart of gold. (Robots don't have hearts, silly, and if they did, they would probably be made of steel, not gold.) You also won't be likely to terrorize humanity by becoming an ultra-violent killing machine sent into the past to kill the mother of a child who will lead a rebellion against machines, because that movie was dumb as hell, and because real robots don't kill--they horribly maim at best, and they don't even do that on purpose. Real robots are boringly kind and all too rarely try to kill people. In all my years, my laptop has only attacked me once, and that was only because my brother threw it at me. In short, your personality defect is that you don't really HAVE a personality. You are one of those annoying, super-logical people that never gets upset or flustered. Unless, of course, you short circuit. Or if someone throws a pie at you. Pies sure are delicious.

To put it less negatively:

1. You are more RATIONAL than intuitive.

2. You are more INTROVERTED than extroverted.

3. You are more GENTLE than brutal.

4. You are more HUMBLE than arrogant.

Compatibility:

Your exact opposite is the Class Clown.

Other personalities you would probably get along with are the Hand-Raiser, the Emo Kid, and the Haughty Intellectual.

*

If you scored near fifty percent for a certain trait (42%-58%), you could very well go either way. For example, someone with 42% Extroversion is slightly leaning towards being an introvert, but is close enough to being an extrovert to be classified that way as well. Below is a list of the other personality types so that you can determine which other possible categories you may fill if you scored near fifty percent for certain traits.

The other personality types:

The Emo Kid: Intuitive, Introverted, Gentle, Humble.

The Starving Artist: Intuitive, Introverted, Gentle, Arrogant.

The Bitch-Slap: Intuitive, Introverted, Brutal, Humble.

The Brute: Intuitive, Introverted, Brutal, Arrogant.

The Hippie: Intuitive, Extroverted, Gentle, Humble.

The Televangelist: Intuitive, Extroverted, Gentle, Arrogant.

The Schoolyard Bully: Intuitive, Extroverted, Brutal, Humble.

The Class Clown: Intuitive, Extroverted, Brutal, Arrogant.

The Robot: Rational, Introverted, Gentle, Humble.

The Haughty Intellectual: Rational, Introverted, Gentle, Arrogant.

The Spiteful Loner: Rational, Introverted, Brutal, Humble.

The Sociopath: Rational, Introverted, Brutal, Arrogant.

The Hand-Raiser: Rational, Extroverted, Gentle, Humble.

The Braggart: Rational, Extroverted, Gentle, Arrogant.

The Capitalist Pig: Rational, Extroverted, Brutal, Humble.

The Smartass: Rational, Extroverted, Brutal, Arrogant.

Be sure to take my Sublime Philosophical Crap Test if you are interested in taking a slightly more intellectual test that has just as many insane ramblings as this one does!

C'mon everybody, let's do the Robot Dance!

Well, the meeting with the lady from Medicaid went well. I have to do a little money-shuffling and then we should be OK. Mom seems in pretty good spirits lately, has come to terms with losing her leg, and isn't giving people too much trouble. So things definitely could be worse in that department.

It's always a good day when the new issue of BUST arrives, and that day is today. Nice cover story on Lily Allen. She certainly is a breath of fresh air.

Happy Spring!

Thanks for the positive strokes, you guyz. Things are still weird, but I'm handling it. Drama - I AM SO OVER IT. Some people are indeed full of crazy. Sucks to be them.

Yesterday we went to the Orleans Candle Co's annual Mardi Gras celebration. It was good to visit the shop; haven't been there in ages.  We had absolutely yummy vegetarian white beans and rice, and a nice big slice of King Cake.  I didn't get the baby this year, though (got it last year!).  Laissez les bon temps roulez!

Tonight we're going to the Oscar show at the Hollywood Theatre!  (It's officially sanctioned, ooooh)  Haven't really watched the Oscars in years, but this is going to be my last nighttime outing in quite a while, so should be fun.  I am old enough to remember the big performance of the theme from Shaft at the '72 Oscars, I think it was.  My little jaw hit the floor and I was hooked on funky soul music from that moment on.

Tomorrow is Mom's 84th birthday.  We're going to bring her some candy today and then go over and have dinner with her tomorrow.  She's doing pretty well; has had some rather low Coumadin levels lately that they're monitoring, but other than that seems to be feeling OK.

Oh yeah, speaking of birthdays - HAPPY BIRTHDAY [info]slytherin13 !!  Don't have too much fun now....  Heh.

Thursday [info]byroncaloz had a wisdom tooth extracted, and he was down for a while. He's better now, but still subsisting mostly on yogurt and applesauce. Yarg.

Saturday night we had a great visit with Byron's sister Carolann, aka [info]glindatgw, and her husband Gene (yep he's an actor, but does mostly stage work now). They are such ultra-cool, quality people and I wish we could see them more often. We had dinner at the new Cuban place here in NoPo (!), Cafe Cubano. YUM. They also have live music and dancing on Friday nights - heeellllllooo, godfamily.....?!?!

Sunday we saw Mom; no big changes. Her mondo-expensive new wheelchair is supposed to be arriving by the end of the month, SEVEN MONTHS after she was fitted for it. I may grouse about the insurance company, but we only had to pay less than $200 for a couple features they wouldn't cover, on a chair that costs SIX THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED SEVEN DOLLARS AND SIXTY CENTS. This had damn well better be the greatest wheelchair EVER.

Today I think I'm going to tackle putting together some new Radio Bastet podcasts. I managed to rescue most of my sound files thanks to some recovery software, but I know they're not all there. Now I have to go through and see what I need to reconvert to mp3 from my .wav file discs. Oh, joy and rapture.

I think that's all for now. Need more coffee.

The trick-or-treaters started coming about 45 minutes ago. The Eleggua I got in New York asked me to put him closer to the door so he could see the kids. Meanwhile, TCM is deep into H.P Lovecraft flicks with The Haunted Palace (more like a Lovecraft/Poe collaboration), Die Monster Die, The Shuttered Room and The Dunwich Horror. Oh, I am loving every minute of this!

Meme stolen from everyone:

take a picture of yourself right now.
don't change your clothes, don't fix your hair... just take a picture.
post that picture with NO editing (except maybe to resize if it's too big)
post these instructions with your picture.

You guys gotta know I love you if I let you see a picture of me without lipstick. I mean, for reals.

Mom's on methadone, I'm having my biopsy next week, and my lady time finally started after 44 days (sorry for the TMI). I'm really tired.

First of all, once again, THANK YOU ALL. Holy crap, you are the best friends list ever and that's the God's honest truth. [info]byroncaloz is the best husband ever too. I would be in the looney bin right now if it wasn't for him. I love you sweetie - thank you.

Mom was at the ER about 4 hours. They gave her some kind of pain meds that knocked her out for pretty much the entire time. The doctor on call spoke with her primary doc and the surgeon, and it was agreed to prescribe her the Fentanyl patch for continuous pain relief, and get her in next week to see the surgeon instead of waiting til her scheduled appt. on May 5th. We are probably going to be scheduling the amputation sooner rather than later. Our main objective is just keeping her comfortable until then. The surgical wounds are all just about healed, and the swelling in her foot and leg is gone. It's just this damn pain that we have to deal with. The wound care nurse told me that ischemic pain is the worst ever. A part of the body is dying, basically. So, that's where we are right now. We're going to have to start arranging for transportation for her, since getting her in and out of the car is now next to impossible.

In other news, happy 4/20! Smoke 'em if you got 'em.

I just want to let everyone know about Miss Marisa's Lady-Hearted Blog. I'm going to update it every day with some little tidbit of something.

Mom's surgical sites are apparently healing quite well. The med aide told me that she was amazed at how much better the one on her leg looked this morning. But Mom's still not happy about it all and I think she's getting depressed. I brought over some Ensure to see if she would drink any, as she's not eating very much.

It snowed this morning, but it's gone now.

Well, it looks like Mom will be able to go home tomorrow, or Tuesday at the latest. She's doing well, and the nurse doesn't think she will need the TPN post-discharge. I just wish there was some way we could get her the nutritional punch of the TPN in a different form on a daily basis. She hates taking pills and is fussy about what she eats and drinks, so not sure there's a solution to that. But anyway, the end of this hospitalization is in sight and we are RELIEVED, and that is the understatement of the year.

It looks like I might be in for a new computer! There is something wrong with the graphics driver on this one. I have to restart it 5 or 6 times to get the picture decent. It's not the monitor, as far as we know. I got an error message about the graphics driver and installed a new one, but it's still doing it. I've been wanting a laptop anyway, so we're thinking about getting one and keeping this hard drive on the network at least. Huzzah!

There is not a whole lot else to talk about. I want to wish [info]beautifulpyre a happy 30th and apologize (again) for missing the party last night. I am just not a party girl these days. Never have been, frankly.

OK, going to see Mom and then hitting the grocery store. Later gators.

Here is a movie meme in honor of Oscar night.

Think of 15 of your favorite movies (documentaries included). Go to IMDB and find quotes for each. Post the quotes. When someone guesses the movie, add the movie name and the person who got it right. (No fair using IMDB to find the answer)

Right this way, movie lovers.... )

Once again I'm in the position of having to thank you all. I'm feeling better about the delay in Mom's surgery. It's just that I wanted to get it over with, I guess.

1. Ordering a deer skull online from Moscow Hide and Fur. I'll be needing it for when I make ocha. You can find anything on teh intarwebs, yup.

2. Seeing The Magic Christian again last night after not having seen it for years. A bit dated in spots, but still one of the best satires ever made. It's hard to make satires now, as what passes for "reality" these days is already so unironically ridiculous it's satire-proof. How do you satirize something that is already satire?

I'm getting a perm this afternoon, but hopefully that will not be a surreal experience.

I'll be heading out shortly for my follow-up appt. with the oral surgeon. Everything's going great. Swelling is gone, no pain, and yesterday I went to Burgerville and rewarded myself with a double cheezburger and fries. Nom nom nom. So damn good.

It's just utter hell having to listen to the construction going on next door. Of course it's just plain noisy with the hammering and drilling and sawing and so on. The guys let loose with a volley of profanity every 10 minutes or so. Yeah dude, you know all the naughty words. I'm so impressed. There are people actually living in this neighborhood that are home all day, believe it or not. We have better things to listen to than your obscene versions of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Sheesh.

Tomorrow I'll be heading out to [info]apocalypso23's to help out with Conjure Oils orders and things. [info]hoarymarmot, if you come by too, don't forget the bag I left in your car and my Womberscootch gift set thingy!

lady_hearted is now [info]danceswithfish
In case you're scratching your head and going "Who is this [info]danceswithfish person on my FL??" I changed my username again. The name came to me while I was washing out the 7 day candle jars a while back. Eternalux is the brand name of the 7 day candles made by the Candle Corp. of America. It started getting stuck in my head. I like the connection to the candles and folk magic, plus it means "eternal light" and that's what I want to be to the world. Unfortunately, the username [info]eternalux is already being used by some wanker who hasn't updated their journal in 5 1/2 years, grumblegrousecursespit. So I just added the 'e' on the end, which makes it look kinda retro too. So, there you have it.

Nothing much else to report. My life is basically pointing towards [info]evamoon's upcoming ocha the weekend of December 1st, so that seems to be the main focus for me these days. Plus just getting this damn house straightened up.

OH! While organizing our DVDs the other day, [info]byroncaloz discovered that we have an extra copy of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, this particular edition. It's brand-new, unopened, still in the shrink wrap. We paid $10 for it. It's free to whoever wants it. Shoot me an email at eternaluxe @ livejournal dot com - first come, first served! Call now - operators are standing by!

Hold your calls, we have a winner! Congratulations, [info]el_jefe59!!!
