...but inside I feel like this:

I think I may be getting the Iyawo Crazies. I'm just starved for color and dancing and glamour and goofiness. Oh well.
Sweltergeddon (TM
thiebes) is finally dying down. Thanks for the commisseration, all. I've been basically parked on the couch unable to move for almost a week. UGH. If I wanted triple-digit weather I would have moved to Phoenix. You hear me, Portland? Just sayin'.
Yesterday Byron and I finally went to the new St. Johns Farmers Market, which was pretty frickin' awesome. We got veggies for the next week and some rosette flower cookies. I've pretty much gotten used to people staring at me. Whatevs.
Anyway, due to the heat, not much else going on. Very much looking forward to next week and being able to use the big computer upstairs so I can put some Radio Bastet podcasts together and work on some other stuff too. Lots of pics on my camera that need downloading.
OH! Did I tell you what our cat Delbert did a couple weeks ago? I was upstairs on the computer, and he came up after lunch and hung out with me (which he usually doesn't do; I think he's afraid to go upstairs because that's Marvin's turf). So he was there for a little while, then he went across the hall into the bedroom. Shortly afterwards I heard these clanging-clattering noises. "Now what is he getting into?" I wondered. I went in there and found him sprawled out in Ochossi's big terra cotta dish, rolling around, rubbing his head on the deer skull, rattling Ochossi's tools around, and just basically having an Ochossi love-fest! I wish I'd gotten my camera. It was hilarious, but eventually I had to pick him up and get him out of there. So now Delbert and Ochossi are BFF. Awwww.
PS: Does anyone know anything about beekeeping? I'm seriously considering it.....
