Beatnik Goth Bellydancer Meez. The non-abbreviated version can be seen here.

I've always loved Gothic bellydance, but lately I've become completely obsessed with it. If all goes well in the next couple years, I hope to work myself up to something like the picture (minus the mushroom cloud, I mean). We shall see... I have a name in mind and everything. Not. Telling.

New post over at musings of a beatnik goth

In other news, something really big and exciting is cooking.  Can't talk about it yet.

Firstly, I made an LJ feed for musings of a beatnik goth: [info]beatgothmusings. Nothing is showing up there yet, so I hope I did it right. OK, now we're getting it.

Secondly, I was watching Current TV the other day, and they showed a piece on street fashion in Kiev (being 1/4 Ukranian, I had to check it out). My, those wacky kids. Anyway, one of the gals they talked to said that the more silver a woman wears, the less satisfied she is with her sex life. She offered no evidence to back up her claim. Has anyone ever heard this, and do you think there's any truth to it? Most of me calls BS but a little nagging voice in my ear tells me there might be an atom of truth to it. Don't ask me why. Silver draws erotic moon energy? Not a clue.

But it was totally worth it. Yesterday I met up with the adorable [info]geek_dragon and her super-cute super-smart friend Eric, here from Vancouver BC for esoZone. It was so good to see her again! The Thai place wasn't quite open yet, so we walked down a few doors to Proper Eats and had an extremely yumtastic hippie vegan lunch. Then we walked down to Cathedral Park under the St. Johns Bridge and walked around. On the way back it was uphill all the way, and of course I was wearing the wrong shoes and am shockingly out of shape, so I was pretty much dead by the time we got back to our cars. But like I say, it was worth it. Please come visit again, you two! And you know what? When I got back home I discovered my camera was in my purse!!! GRRR!!! Epic fail.

Speaking of my camera, it has a bunch of pics on it so I'm just going to download them all and make a big pic spam post. Thought you'd appreciate the warning...

Also, I think I created a new Goth subculture. Beatnik Goth. Whattaya think? I will get dressed up and post a pic.
